Yes, the Deposit HealthCheck is entirely confidential. We do not share your findings or results with CMP or TDP scheme providers. The HealthCheck is designed to give you independent visibility and assurance over your records, without triggering reporting or escalation. Any discrepancies identified are shared only with you.

  • What do I need to do to complete the Deposit HealthCheck?
    + -

You complete our online questionnaire, which typically takes no longer than 10 minutes. The form guides you through the process.

  • What information will I need to provide?
    + -

The questionnaire asks for basic details such as:

    • Your agency information
    • A report from your software
    • A report from your TDP scheme
  • Which documents do I need to submit?
    + -

Before submitting, the online form will prompt you to upload:

    • A CSV export of deposits protected from your deposit scheme
    • Deposit reports from your software in CSV format
  • How do I download reports from my software?
    + -

If you use Alto, Jupix, Reapit or SME Professional, we can provide step-by-step instructions to help you download the correct reports. If your software is not listed, or you are unsure which reports to run, you can still do the Deposit HealthCheck - please just contact our team and we’ll be happy to assist.

  • How do I download the report from my deposit scheme?
    + -

This depends on the scheme you use:

    • DPS: Go to the Reports section, select All Tenancies (including closed tenancies), and download the report.
    • TDS: Go to Reports, choose All Deposits (including deposit amount protected and lead tenant details), then click Get Report.
    • MyDeposits: Go to the Deposits section, then click Export CSV on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • What happens if my deposit IDs are not recorded in my software?
    + -

The Deposit HealthCheck relies on ID numbers to produce a complete and accurate report. If IDs are missing, we can assist through our remedial service to update your records and enable the report to be completed.

  • What happens if errors are flagged during the Deposit HealthCheck?
    + -

The Risk Assessment produces a summary of findings. The full HealthCheck produces a breakdown of any discrepancies identified along with additional detail and possible remedial action.

  • What does the Deposit HealthCheck check?
    + -

The Deposit HealthCheck compares software records against deposit scheme records and flags:

    • Unprotected deposits
    • Deposits on software with no scheme record
    • Deposits on scheme with no software record
    • Tenancies closed on scheme but active on software
    • Deposit value differences
    • Lead tenant name mismatches
    • Late registrations
    • Deposit cap breaches
  • How much does the Deposit HealthCheck cost?
    + -

The Deposit Risk Assessment is a free, light-touch review designed to provide an initial sense check of your deposit records and processes. This is similar to a light credit check, helping you understand whether there are indicators of risk or whether a full audit may be advisable. There is no obligation to proceed to a full audit, and the Risk Assessment is handled with the same level of confidentiality.

The Deposit HealthCheck costs from £140 + VAT for up to 500 deposit scheme records.

  • How do I make payment?
    + -

After completing the questionnaire and uploading your documents, you’ll be automatically directed to the payment page.

    + -

Once all documents and payment are received, we aim to deliver the final report within five working days, provided there are no queries during review.

  • Do you offer remedial work?

Yes, we can assist with correcting issues identified in the audit, or offering best advice for mitigating risk and creating robust deposit handling processes, through our remedial services.

  • How often should I have a Deposit HealthCheck?

    + -

Yes. Bundles are available at discounted rates, please contact us for more information.
